To recap the last few days...
January 1st... First, we met with a realtor to discuss putting our house on the market. Then, Rodney, the kids, and I all went into Dallas to see Rodney's Papa Ralph at the Embassy Suites in Dallas. We wanted to have a good visit with them before the cotton bowl the next day. Here are some pictures of the kids with Papa, Hortencia, and their daughter Elizabeth.
January 2nd.. we actually went back to Dallas for the Cotton Bowl. We endured nightmarish traffic and extremely high temperatures for the Red Raiders to totally disappoint us. That's okay, we had a good time anyway!
Goin' Band from Raider Land... Skull and Crossbones formation, I assume this has something to do with Leach's affinity for Pirates. 
Kickoff
January 3rd... relatively uneventful
January 4th... Rodney goes back to work
January 5th... I go back to work... and it's our anniversary
January 7th... Rodney comes home...the family celebrated Zach's 24th birthday... pictures soon.
January 8th... the realtor comes back and we discuss the LONG list of things that need to be done before we can officially list our house on the 11th.
January 9th... Rodney does some marathon painting of the trim in the living room and hallway.
January 10th... He goes back to work and my parents and I take over the painting marathon.
They say it has to get worse before it gets better... it's definitely worse!
Kitchen cabinets have been taken off so they can be primed and painted tomorrow. Everything we own seems to be out on the counter.
I banged my head trying to paint the underneath of the cabinets. I know it doesn't look like much. but I assure you, it really hurt!

I hate it when I bang something and it hurts *SO MUCH* but then there's just a tiny little mark, or even worse, not one at all! I feel your pain! Maybe this will make you feel better, I've given you a little award over at my blog. :)
We just moved into our house but we've already talked about when we want to move in a few years. Seeing your kitchen makes me want to stay here forever! :) Good luck with preparing for listing!! Have you done any house hunting in Spring?
Good luck with the house on the market situation, I feel your pain. I was completely stressed about our house selling and getting the house in tip top shape before the realtor came and we sold our house miraculously in one day. My parents live in Spring/The Woodlands area if you need any help let me know.
