Giving Thanks - Flint Creek Style

A little background first, for those who don't know.  The Farm is a house located near Graham Texas.  It's not just any house, though.  It's our special family homestead.  The house sits on 106 acres of land given to my grandmother's family through a Civil War land grant.  The house itself turned 100 years old this past summer.  It was home to my great grandmother for a short time as she was growing up and now serves as a get together location for our widespread relatives.  Until the 70's, it was hardly ever used, and sat empty and abandoned on old Flint Creek Road.  Then, my dad and my granddad, added on living space and an actual bathroom so that it could be used.  It is a labor of love for the entire family and needs constant maintenance and care to keep it in good shape for future generations.  We really do love the farm.

Taylor and Frankimus Maximus - The reason I expect she won't go to college in Texas :( He's a Chemistry major at Boston University

Zach and Hunter - off to the woods

Frank and Caleb - nice

He's a lumberjack and he's okay....

Yes, my brothers are weird...

But you have to admit this is very clever.

The pie I was telling you about in a previous post.... yum-O

My grandmother and her cousin Carol - They built a farm house on the lot adjacent to the one where our farm sits.  We love the Bentley family!

My uncle Allen and my grandmother (they are brother and sister) and little Hannah in between

Ummm....

Good times
