So, after I failed to get the Halloween costumes in time, we decided we'd rather go to the football game anyway. The band is all dressed up in costumes and they are doing the thriller song and dance at halftime, so we wanted to do that. Caleb informed me that he was 'too mature' to dress up and I figure Hannah doesn't really know the difference. So, I was feeling totally guilty about this decision. But, my friends at work assured me that it was probably no big deal, that I wasn't permanently damaging their psyche by omitting the Halloween ritual for one year.
We went to Whataburger right before the game and Hannah refused to eat. She kept saying she didn't feel good. But, we went to the game anyway (mistake).
About ten minutes into the game she started with her hacking cough again, and then after Denison scored one touch down, she threw up all over the bleachers. I'm sure the Jacket supporters around us were not impressed, but I cleaned up and whisked her away. We were on our way home and she threw up again, but luckily I had put a sweater in her lap so it didn't get on my car.
Now she's in the bathtub moaning and I'm trying to figure out what I can give her to make her feel better, because it's really sad!
But, the good news is, I don't feel so bad about the costumes, because look how we're spending our evening! I'm really glad I didn't spend thirty dollars on a costume that would have been puked upon.
So, on a happier note, here are some pictures from Halloweens past... I'll show these to my kids one day so they'll know I wasn't always a slacker. (Caleb always dressed up before 2005 too, but unfortunately, those pictures are all of the traditional nature, rather than this high falootin' digital stuff.)
Happy Halloween to you all!

Oh my gosh! If a child had come to the door tonight dressed as a pink poodle, I would have given her -all- the candy!
Ahh puke. Gotta love it.
OH MY GOSH! The KLC stomach virus has reared it's ugly head again. I'm sorry!
So sad that Hannah is feeling bad. I hope she is better by now. The kids are cute in all of their costumes!
